UK Tan Guide Standard - Ison-Britannian Tan Standardi

General Description :
A solid colour with sharply defined tan markings round the face, chest and belly.

Yleinen kuvaus : Mustan, suklaan, lilacin, beigen tai slaten värinen marsu jolla selkeästi erottuvat tan merkit kasvoissa, rinnassa ja mahassa.

Head, Eye and Ears :
Roman nose with good width of muzzle and rounded at the nostrils.   Eyes to be large, bold and bright and of a colour appropriate to the colour of the cavy as set out in the standard for the English Self; or other appropriate guide standard for a solid cavy.   Ears to be large, rose petal shaped, drooping and set with good width between.   Hairs inside the ears to be tan.

Pää, silmät ja korvat : ns. Roomalainen = pyöreä pää ja leveä nenä. Suuret, pyöreät, kirkkaat silmät. Korvien tulisi olla isot, ruusunterälehden malliset ja laskeutuvat. Korvien sisällä olevat karvat tulisi olla tan väriset.

Body :
Short and cobby with deep, broad shoulders.   Firm, fit and of a good size appropriate to age.

Kroppa : Lyhyt ja tanakka, niskan tulisi olla korkea ja hartioiden leveät. Marsun tulee olla hyväkuntoinen ja kokoinen ikä huomioon ottaen.

Top Colour :
To be of an even shade with under colour to match top colour down to the skin.

Pääliväri : Värin tulee olla mahdollisimman 'puhdas' ja tasainen tyvestä latvaan.

Markings :
Sides, including sides of the rump, to be thickly laced with long deep golden tan, inclining to red or mahogany, ticking.   The nostril area, jowl, chest and belly should be deep golden tan.   There should be a clear band of top colour across the throat.   Tan eye circles should be clearly defined and clearly visible.   On the forehead beside each ear there should be a clear tan spot.   The belly should be tan, with minimal darker under colour showing.   The belly colour should be only just visible when viewed from the side.

Kuviot : Kyljet takapäähän asti tulee olla 'tikattu' syvällä kultaisella tan värillä, joka saa olla sävyltään myös  self red tai mahonkia. Nenän alue, leukapielet, rinta ja maha tulisi olla syvän kultaisen tanin värinen.  Kaulan pokki tulee kulkea selkeä päälivärinen nauha. Silmärenkaiden tulee olla selkeät ja selvästi havaittavat. Otsalla, kummankin korvan vierellä, tulee olla selkeästi eroittuvat tan väriset täplät (peaspotit). Mahan tulee olla tan värinen, minimaalisella tummemmalla aluskarvalla. Mahan tan värin tulisi juuri ja juuri näkyä marsua sivusta katsoessa.

Colour of Feet and Legs :
The inside of each leg should show tan, with top colour on the outside.

Jalkojen väri: tulisi olla sisäpinnalla tan värinen ja päälivärinen ulkopinnalla.

Condition and Presentation :
Must be fit, clean and firm to handle.  Tans should be shown in good condition and be well groomed on all areas except the flanks, where lack of grooming is permissible given that grooming may remove the desirable long tan ticking.

Kunto ja esittäminen : Tanin tulee olla terve, puhdas ja kiinteä käsitellä. Ja ne tulisi esittää hyväkuntoisina ja hyvin trimmattuina. Varoen kuitenkin kylkien tikkausta trimmattaessa.

Specific Faults :
Hairs of a different colour in the top colour to be penalised according to quantity. Note; this does not apply to tan-tipped ticking on sides and flanks.   Tan should not spread up excessively from the nostril area to meet the eye circles.   Paleness of the tan colour should be penalised according to the severity.

Yksityiskohtaisempia virheitä : Pääliväristä poikeavan väriset karvat, ei koske kylki tikkausta. Tan väri ei myöskään saisi liiallisesti levitä nenän alueelta ja yhdistyä silmärenkaisiin. Tan värin vaaleus on myös 'rankaistava' värin vaaleudesta riippuen.

Disqualifications :
Solid patches of tan on top or flanks and odd coloured toenails.

Hylkääviä virheitä : Selkeät tan väriset laikut/täplät kropassa päällä tai kyljissä ja oudon väriset kynnet.

Guidance Notes for Judges and Exhibitors :
The tan will be recognised in only five solid colours which are black, chocolate, lilac, beige and slate.

Tan väri on tunnustettu viidessä värissä : musta, suklaa, lilac, beige ja slate.
